The rainbow flag moved into the focus of the reporting around the pan-European European Championship 2020. Even if - or perhaps because - the request to illuminate the Allianz Arena in Munich in rainbow colors was rejected by UEFA, the EURO 2020 was all about the rainbow flag. The EURO 2020 platform was also used by some sponsors to position themselves. Thus, the rainbow color also adorned many advertising spaces during the European Championship.
