New standards in the new SAP Garden: Unzer receives certificate for service quality in payment

The payment service provider Unzer has been awarded the globally unique "Tested Service Quality - Sport | Focus: Payment" certificate by SLC Management in collaboration with SGS INSTITUT FRESENIUS. This award, which was presented on the sidelines of an EHC Red Bull Munich game at the SAP Garden, recognises the excellent implementation and service quality in the area of "Payment", which makes the payment process for fans at the SAP Garden in Munich smooth, fast and easy to understand.

The certificate was presented to Pascal Beij, Chief Commercial Officer at Unzer, and Oliver Wesp, Managing Director of Red Bull Stadion München GmbH, by Maximilian Madeja, Managing Partner of SLC Management, and Bastian Bley from SGS INSTITUT FRESENIUS.

The service quality programme of SLC Management, the leading consulting and market research company in the sports sector, is characterised by a comprehensive analysis of service quality at all fan and customer contact points - in this case in the area of payment. As part of this holistic evaluation, all payment processing procedures via the website/app and at the point of sale (POS) were analysed.

Maximilian Madeja, Managing Partner of SLC Management, emphasises the importance of a seamless payment experience for match attendance: "Payment is an essential part of the matchday experience and this has been implemented very well and integratively here in the SAP Garden at EHC Red Bull Munich: The payment processes were transparent, understandable and fast. This smooth payment processing can reduce waiting times and optimise the visitor experience, which in turn can have a positive effect on visitors' spending behaviour."

For Unzer, this award is confirmation of the high service quality in the area of payment processing. Pascal Beij, CCO of Unzer, explains: "We were of course convinced that we had created a good fan experience, but it is still important to play this out from the fan's perspective. Of course, objective advice that analyses customer satisfaction using both expertise and surveys helps here. We are very proud that we now have a 'proof' that we offer a very good service."

From the perspective of SAP Garden and EHC Red Bull Munich, the prestigious certificate also has a special significance. Burkhardt von Wagner, Director Corporate Partnerships at Red Bull Munich & SAP Garden, emphasises: "As a new stadium operator, you always have the task of testing your ideas in reality: Does it make sense, do the fans see it the same way? And that's why a certificate was so important, to get this objective view in."

"Spectators expect a smooth match attendance in all areas. With our 175 years of testing experience, our experts analyse the payment processes at the relevant points of contact for visitors: from ticket purchasing and merchandising to catering, including mobile ordering," says Bastian Bley from SGS INSTITUT FRESENIUS.

The award for Unzer in the SAP Garden shows how innovative payment solutions can help to make stadium/arena visits even more enjoyable and efficient for fans.
