SPORTPLATZWELT ONLINE CONGRESS // ROUND-UP TO THE SLC-FORUM "MODERN STRUCTURES WITH SUSTAINABLE EFFECT"
On March 8, 2023, the now sixth edition of the Sportplatzwelt Online Congress by Stadionwelt took place. With the Sportplatzwelt Online Congress, the specialist medium Stadionwelt has established itself as the platform in amateur sports and offers clubs the opportunity to come together across associations and throughout Germany. At this year's edition, SLC Management presented with an on-site report, the practice-oriented forum "Modern structures with a sustainable effect".
To emphasize the importance and significance of amateur sports for Germany, the forum "Modern structures with a sustainable effect" was accompanied by highly qualified and exciting speakers from the industry:
- Prof. Dr. Alfons Madeja, Professor of Business Administration and Sports Management, expert of the German Bundestag on sports
- Maximilian Madeja, Managing director @ SLC Management
- Sven Lommatzsch, Club Manager @ TS Jahn München von 1887 e.V.
Prof. Dr. Alfons Madeja opened the forum with an appeal to the clubs to be courageous, before it went to the on-site switch to Munich to TS Jahn. There, SLC Management showed how clubs can be modern, member-focused and sustainable to ensure long-term stability.
Using TS Jahn München as an example, Sven Lommatzsch, Club Manager of TS Jahn München von 1887 e.V., presented how an investment in a sustainable future can look like. During the tour of the new and impressive premises, Sven Lommatzsch addressed a number of topics, such as the target group-oriented adaptation of the fitness equipment and the sauna world, the new construction of a modern sports hall, to the budget planning of a rooftop terrace.
Finally, Maximilian Madeja, Managing Director at SLC Management and Sven Lommatzsch conducted an interview on the topic of "Modern structures with a sustainable effect". When asked if a club can actually be prepared for anything, Sven Lommatzsch replied, "No, the important thing is that you remain flexible in your planning, you must not panic, but accept the situation, analyze it and look at what is the way to go for you." Maximilian Madeja derieved from this that one should be proactive rather than defensive. The clubs that act offensively and continue to develop with the crisis are the clubs that also act sustainably and future-oriented.
"You have to orient yourself to the wishes of your stakeholders and act with foresight." (Sven Lommatzsch, Club Manager TS Jahn München e.V.)
To be able to control the club dynamically, the club manager of TS Jahn München e.V., uses the Club-Information-System from SLC Management. According to Lommatzsch, the system provides important information and qualified feedback to shape club management based on the members. The basic vision of the club was and is to cover the complete sector of leisure/sports, from the sport itself, to sweating out in the sauna area, to the store for sportswear. "For this purpose, it is to be queried in the various departments low-threshold and without much effort, how the visit went and was felt, in order to get feedback from it again," answers Sven Lommatzsch.
"With the Club-Information-System, this is precisely where the perfect opportunity exists to obtain proof of which target groups are reached and in what quality." (Maximilian Madeja, Managing Director SLC Management)
To be able to ensure sports operations in this quality, the club must consistently make adjustments.
"You must have the courage to go this investment, and also the courage to take a risk. But if the risk is well calculated and a reasonable plan is followed - by oneself, by committees in the club, but also by external partners - then the success comes by itself." (Sven Lommatzsch, Club Manager TS Jahn München e.V.)
As a conclusion of the forum can be said "Who does not invest, remains on the track!"
